Hi I've got a 25 year old Shetland who's recently torn her cruciate ligament again. She did the same thing winter before last and managed to come out of it with no treatment other than bute for pain relief. She's had a miserable past few months with cushings /laminitis flair ups and has finally come sound after hoof xrays/heel supports etc. And now the cruciate has gone again! As she's an elderly lady operating isn't an option but was wondering if anyone had any advice re alternative therapy? Magnetic therapy? Something that's not intrusive but may help heal/become more comfortable. She's out 24/7 but has an open stable with a deep shavings bed which she tends to lie down on and off during the day (and night I presume!) thanks in advance x
