crusty lines on muzzle

My mare has suddenly got crusty sore lines on her muzzle,the other 2 horses in the field are fine, I put sudecreme on it but its obviously very sore as she didnt want me to touch it. Anyone else got or seen anything like it at this time of year? she is an unbroken 4 year old,so just turned out in the field.

Mine has a white/pink nose and gets this on occasion mildly - it doesn't appear to be always necessarily sunburn with mine as it seems to be when we have periods of rain then faint sun - only had it once this summer as not seen much actual sun When we have fairly permanent sun though the 30 factor sunblock is on just in case of sunburn though.

Sounds like sunburn! My poor tank of a Coblet has a white nose and muzzle and has got it dreadfully. It went yellowy orange and awfully scabby. You're doing good with Sudocrem, best thing for it did will loosen off the scabs too. Sudocrem can mend anything, broken legs, severed tendons, puncture wounds but it won't mend a broken heart.
