The first thing that happened was Beanie stood on my big toe and squished it! Said toe is now a lovely shade of purple with red and black bits in it!! Then we set off. Nothing too exciting although she was a jibbering jelly before we left the yard. ;)
Stood the meet. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Backed into a lorry, an OAP and a few others !
We set off. All seemed ok. That is until we had to stand! We then reared, spun, went backwards, upwards, sideways, everything but standing still!!
She was fine on the move all be it strong, even in double bridle. She pulled so hard she made her mouth bleed. Then we were cantering down a really nice grass track that just happened to have a rather large ditch on one side. And for reasons only known to the Bean, she decided she wanted to vear towards said ditch!!! :o Promptly pulled severely away by yours truly along with a fair amount of cussing!! :x She then continued to behave in this way for the rest of our time out. She ended up looking like a four legged jar of Hellmann's from top to toe!!!!. To top it all, we crossed a meadow which as we were nearing the gate to exit, we saw that there were several Aberdeen Angus bullocks in which were hot footing it towards the lot of us !!! Hasten to say we didn't hang around!! We decided to call it a day once the hounds moved off and headed home. Jig jogged alllll the way until she got about 10 yards from the yard! So, decision has been made not to take her again as she does not improve as the season progresses, in actual fact she get's worse. Such a shame reall as I would really love to be a regular but it just blows her brains and I am not prepared to risk her hurting herself or myself in the process. :(
