it tends to be steady away, stop, stand start again. little or no jumping. good opportunity to watch and listen to the hounds working.

My lad hates it, can't understand why hounds doesn't mean cantering. But he settles eventually.

our hunt starts cubbing tomorrow too. mounted by 7am is so unsociable!

Ours has been cubbing for a while actually... i just havent been out yet cos its my GCSE year so im snowed under with work and he's not been very fit....

Gosh i know... 6am at yard.... fun fun!! haha

Took my young 6 year old cubbing on his little 11hh pony last weekend and he loved it...first time for him
ideal for the kids as we stood around for a while and it was freezing at 7am, but lovely part of the morning with the mist and the hounds doing their job....this meet was quite slow and was finished by 11 am ish... other riders had a few runs but not that far...i had plenty of exercise though as my son wa on the leading rein
just enjoy
