The mini-me isn't very 'puter-literate, so I said I'd do his report for him, for a share of his polo allowance (obviously!)
He had to get up bloomin early and do the circling and stuff, and my slave made him spend ages doing it. He said he was cool as a cucumber until they starting doing the gallopy bit past the warm-up and goading him to gallop too, but the slave wouldn't let him. Then he tried to kick at the slave's leg (she started it, allegedly) and he got annoyed and stood up and waved at the other ponies....three times (now even I know that's not a wise move!
) When he went in he only got really excited about the cantering bit but got his legs in a muddle which took three goes to sort out, and then was a bit too excitable for the rest. However, apparently the lady in the car wrote "Wow, what a horse" and then said something like "pity about the tension", and he thought she must have really liked the excitable bits.
He got 38, but not 38 polos I don't think.
On to the bright poley bits, and he's a bit lanky and leggy so it's not the easiest bit. My slave made him bounce round and not gallop flat out at them, so he managed to leave them all up (dude:
heand I high-fived for that result!) but was a bit slow so got 3 for that (he did try to tell her that galloping at them was better, but she wouldn't have it).
Then the best bit: the Slave was all ready for the off when some thoughtless Slave had a tumble, so he had to stand around for ages - or not, as he had a bad case of the fidgets. When he did get going he went lickety splick and, once he'd stopped peering at the fence judges/spectators/dogs/cars, the Slave stopped nagging at him. He woke her up by blatantly disregarding her request to put another stride in before he lept up the step out of the water(good man!
), and launching like a torpedo, landing (thankfully) with all four feet on the step. He jumped the next water nicely though, just to make her think she'd got her own way. The Slave did this face
and his Slave's mum and dad did too, so everyone was happy and he got to eat lots of grass and dribble water all over my Slave, just to show her who's really the boss on these occasions.
The Slave team went off for a while and came back with a ribbon thingy and a whip, so he guesses 10th place wasn't really good enough and the prize was a way of encouraging him to be better.
