Curb Stap Thingys

OK, after a disaster of a weekend I have decided defo decided to get a curb strap for H to go on his english tom thumb on the top ring for hacking.

Do they come in sizes ???? I assume leather is a little softer ?

Does it matter that he takes an abnormal 6 inch bit ??

Curb chains i.e. the metal ones are normally one size, or come in pony/full. The full are plenty big enough for 6" bits - I've got one on my mare's pelham.
Elastic or leather ones usually come in pony/cob/full size, and I'm assuming the sizing is similar. However, you haven't got quite the same flexibility with the sizing as there aren't as many links to chose from!

if your not too bothered about appearences i know someone who wrapped a bit of adehive bandage round her chain becuase she couldnt be bothered to go look for one that fit. worked a treat

If you are looking for a leather curb there are NS ones (approx £9-£10) on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Neue-Schule-Universal-NS8023-NS8024-Leather-Curb-Strap but I was going to use the flash strap off a flash noseband Mine would need new holes punched to fit but if yours is a big horse it may be alright
