totally not horsey but I have had 4 hours sleep in 3 days. I feel shattered but can't sleep...hence the amount of random posting I have been doing on here apologies everyone lol :)

I have even tried reading the longest threads thinking that would bore me into sleep!! GOD i have to go into uni today too aaaaaaaaaaaargh lmao. Perhaps I could just head up the yard and see ginge instead.

Oh gosh - it is the can't get to sleep kind or the waking up really early kind?

In the short term, you can ask your GP for a small course of sleeping tablets to break the cycle.

In the longer term, you can try and examine if there's anything that's making you anxious or if you have poor sleep hygiene (!) which you can address.

Hope you get some kip soon, insomnia truly sucks.

I sometimes have trouble sleeping or at least staying asleep (I am often awake at 5.30am) due to work. I recently found a cure.....4 to 6 hours hacking.

We took the ponies on holiday and we hacked a minimum of 4 hours a day and 6 hours on a couple of days. Come bed time, my head hit the pillow and did not move until 7.30 am earliest and 9.15 am on one occasion (yes, we were late for breakfast!).

Remember the quote by Winston Churchill, "there is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man".

I know exactly how you feel, and I hope you find a cure that works for you soon.
