I am wondering what makes a person an 'experienced' horse person and what kinds of issues a normal horse person has to deal with throughout their horsey life? I think its true with horses that you never stop learning, and if i look back at when i started having horses again 8 years ago after a break.. i cant imagine how novicey i would have seemed then - especially when care can be different in the UK compared to my native Oz where i grew up..

So heres a list - ill go first ;)

Veterinary:

Abcess
Laminitis
Mud fever
Spasmodic Colic
DJD (arthritis) Hocks
OCD Hocks
Pedal Osteitis
Collateral Ligament Injury
Sheath Infections
Anemia
Ventral Swelling
Pregnancy
Abortion/Miscarriage :(
Remedial Farriery
Joint mouse
Bandaging
Sweet Itch
Thrush
Cellulitis

Wound cleaning
Muscle wastage
SI issues

Behaviour:
Difficulty mounting
Rearing
Headshaking
Bucking
No brakes/steering
Cribbing
Weaving
Spooking
Bad behaviour at shows
Box rest
Non-loader

Other:
Having/running my own yard
Field maintenance
Worming regimes

I cant think of anything else! Im lucky enough ( touchwood) that ive never really had to deal with a ligament injury (yet) and i hope i never do.

Would love to see/hear your list!!!
