What can you tell me about the above please?
Horse diagnosed with cushings disease after being found in the field with a severe case of laminitus, so out of the blue. He is a 16yr old 16.3hh. Id x tb

Do you mean diagnosed by a vet with blood tests or someone guessing?

A vet with bloods, wouldnt of even thought of it myself, horse was only out showjumping on weds! Gutted!

In that case when he gets over the acute lami watch the weight, watch the diet and give Prascend as appropriate for the bloods. It's an awful thing, sorry for you and horse.

Hes a work horse but like my own, he was overweight but been working so hard to get it off, i was shocked.
Do you think his life will still be long? I dont know so much about it.

if you get the treatment right he will be fine.... untreated they dont live so long...
