Just wondered as I think I may need to clip one more time. My horse has regrown a fluffy coat, about half of a normal winter coat so was wondering whether to trace clip or fully clip again now. With the weather at the moment he is fine. But if it gets hot again I think he may be uncomfortable.

When do other people do their last summer clip? He lives out with a rug in winter.

I'd normally keep clipping, but my girl started on Pergolide in spring so her coat is far finer this year & she doesn't seem distressed by it.

Most people who's horses really struggle to shed their coat (or as catembi say, have a thinner one) cclip their horses coats as much as is deemed necessay!

Not really any rules (its more a case of what do you think will make you horse feel most comfortable!)

clip when the boy needs clipped. which is more often now that he has been taken of the Pergolide as it did not agree with him and side affects made him worse rather than better
