I know how you feel :( My 19 year old cob's only 'symptom' is he is hanging on to his winter coat. I dont know whether its the weather we have been having or if its a sign of Cushings. Had the blood taken yesterday and I should hear back either today or tomorrow. I think I have convinced myself that he has it, although I have every thing possible crossed that he doesn't!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Mine is only 8 but she's hanging onto her coat, getting the bulges above her eyes and her back has dipped slightly over the last year or so along with a nasty bout of laminitis last year and being ridiculously prone to it now!
Do you have to pay anything other than the call out fee for the vets? For them to take the blood and send it off etc?

I am not sure if there are any other costs apart from the callout fee as I have an account with my vet so will not know until I get a bill at the end of next month. I think someone posted on the original thread that it cost them about £37 pounds to have it done?

Bertolie - we had our cobby tested yesterday too for the exact same reason - seems happy and healthy, full of energy but he can just never shift his winter coat. Fingers crossed for both our boys, hopefully they just like the hairy look x

This is exactly the same as my boy - my daughter hacked him out last week and he got in a strop because they weren't going fast enough! He is full of beans and seems healthy but just hasn't shifted his winter coat.

Fingers crossed for good results for both of them x

ooh its been extended it def said May the other day and I was thinking I was too late!

The small print on the voucher says:-

local veterinary practice and must be used between the 1st
April to the 30th June 2012 inclusive (the qualifying period).
