Cushings Disease

Hi there, I can tell you what I noticed in my girl... First thing was the swellings over her eyes, and her tear ducts didn't seem to clear very well meaning she quite regularly had a discharge (using drops helped but didn't solve the problem). She then went down with laminitis in September, but she was overweight and I didn't think of Cushing at this point. The laminitis returned in the first week of January and that was when we suspected and had her tested. Most people report seeing changes in the fat deposition on the body, ie blocky tummy, cresty neck, sway back, and the the long coat that fails to shed: we didn't see either of those things. Autumn really affected my pony, it seemed to knock her for six in terms of lethargy and depression. If you suspect something is up then get tested as soon as poss, the quicker you can start managing the Cushings the better.

Well, Arch has got abit of wavey hair on his back, that isnt going away. At first I thought it was just a swaet mark, but its still there after nearly 3 weeks.

Pot belly, puffy above the eyes, coat not shedding and coming through extra thick and wavy. Thirst is also apparently a symptom though I haven't noticed this in mine.
