My boy is on Pergolide as well he is on a high dose of 5mg a day and has been for a long time. I'm currently paying £150 for 300mg. The best thing is to phone around all your local Chemists and get quotes.
Thank you! I'm sure my old lady will be fine, she was tested in her mid 20s she didn't have it then, but she's now coming up 33 so I would be amazed if she hasn't got it! She had her first bout of laminitis last spring, Just be nice to get her started on the medication!
Hi - If you need to source pergolide you should hopefully be able to find a local chemist to buy the tablets from as long as you have a prescription from your vet which I think at the present moment in time should be issued free of charge. I have found that both of my 2 local chemists can supply pergolide at around £40 for x100 1mg tablets. When I last checked with the vets their charge was approx. £100 for x100 tablets. I currently use 1mg a day for a 16.3hh hunter type. You may like to have a look at The Metabolic Horse site on Yahoo as this has quite up-to -date detailed articles and advice on feeding and management.
