every body with a horse with cushings can i have you stories good or bad please. The more info i know about this condition the better thanks!x
 
Babybells do you have a horse with cushings? My old mare Charisma Solitaire had cushings and Domi has cushings too. What specifically do you want to know and do you want PMs or posts? Because my post is going to be waaaay long! What specific issues are you wondering about?

For the best advice contact jackie taylor on the metabolic horse yahoo group, or there is a specific (but american) equine cushing group. The metabolic horse one is IMO the best for UK specific advice.

Hi if you can pm me everything about the condition you know of the signs the drugs abousutly everything please just want to get as much info has poss yes my 20yr old mare has just come down with it. many thanks!
 
My 13 year ond shettie was diagnosed with it 2 weeks ago and started on the drug pergolide 12 days ago. It,s all very knew to me also but found out lots on the net just type in cushings and hours worth came up. I was told by my vet that pergolide can make them go off his feed but i have had only one day he did not want his bucket although he was still nibbling on grass and hay. I think one of the worst complications of this disease is the lami but with careful management and the pergolide i am hoping that i can avoid this for a very long time.
 
my horse has lammi at the moment witch was bought on from the cushings that we have just found out that she has with pergolide help with getting over this bout and stop a nother from happing?
