One of our old sheltands, now 30 still has alot of his winter coat he is groomed daily but still it seems to be there

then today he was out in the field then it started peeing it down

but when i went to bring him in he refused to budge from the field so decided to leave him but later on when i brought him in i noticed his coat was a bit curly which has never happend before

do yous think this could be the start of cushings ? i no it might sound like a stupid question but hes a wee old man now and im worried about anything thats wrong with him

You need a blood test to determine Cushings. Do a search on here and you'll find a lot of info., also post in Vet section as some people don't come in New Lounge(2).

Did you check digital pulses?

Fingers crossed he's okay.
 
It is quite possible that he has Cushings at his age, however I would not worry too much if he just has a long curly coat. If he gets any sign of laminitis of course you will need to discuss this with your vet.
