I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of getting a saddle that was much higher to change the way the riders leg meets the horses barrel. I don't feel like my horse and I fit very well. He doesn't fill up my lower leg at all. I was wondering if i had a custom saddle made that was say 3 inches higher with narrower twist or somethign, if that could make a profound change?
On top of him not filling up my leg, i suffer from FAI in my left hip which decreases my range of motion for putting my lower leg on the horse. I really need to try to keep my leg coming straight out of my hip as possible and not have to do to much with my lower leg to find the horses barrel because that seems to rotate my upper leg out too much which locks my hip.
Can anybody relate?
