Cut, and swelling..

Just noticed that my lad has a small sut on inside of front leg, at bottom of tendon. He must have one it yesterday a doesnt look fresh, but a girl at the yard fetched him in last night so i never saw it.
Have fetched him in tonight and it is swelled up. He isnt lame, but it is sore to touch. I have cleaned it with salt water, and polticed it as i am guessing it must be infected.

If there anything else i should have done??

What size is it roughly?

Its only taken the hair and abit of skin off, it prob 3cm long. I think he has brushed it with his other leg. Its just that usually when he cuts himdelg (havents quite often!) he doesnt react (swell up) so this is why i think it must be infected, or something??

Maybe if he hit it with his other leg the swelling is from the impact rather than the cut? Unless the cut looked dirty or had puss on it I dont think it would get infected that quickly?

Is he out again or in the stable? I'd just see how it is in the morning, if its still swollen I'd cold hose it then wash the wound with a weak saline solution and put some antiseptic cream on.

Hmm maybe it would be infected that quick? It could be impact i suppose, will hose it at dinner time. As its still swelled up. I have taken a pic but dont know how to get it off my mobile!
