Cut healing properly?

its been 10 days since Js cut. Vet gave bute and antibiotics twice a day. He had an injection of penicillin as well.

He finished antibiotics Sunday. Sent vet photo on Monday and she said still some swelling (cellulitis) around cut but she was happy with it but wanted him on bute for another 5 days.

This is it last night. Its obviously looking better but just unsure if it should be more closed then it is?

I was cleaning twice a day but didn't yesterday as I'm worried i keep poking it and it causes it to bleed a small amount (where the skin is delicate i think - im not being aggressive i promise!)

Any thoughts? Bute runs out Saturday morning.

Planning on emailing vet tomorrow to see what they think.

He hasn't been lame on it at all.

To me that is looking a lot better and probably at the stage I would stop cleaning and maybe just put a blob of something in to stop the flys. Carry on the bute tho.

Thats what I've been doing the past few days. Its looking a little bit more puffy tonight but will see how it fairs in the morning. Thank you
