Got him just over 3 months ago as uncatchable and untouchable, now he'd nearly talk to you. All groundwork nearly done, have been walking in saddle, hope to do 1st trot next weekend

The plan is for him to have an Irish body, and Australian mind

All riding & training done with NH, and coming on fab, soft, happy, supple, flexible, lateral work etc.. Am quite proud of him

he was trying to play 'follow the photographer' in these pics

He' got a great capacity for play, and if there's anything strange about, he has to check it out, and ideally try to eat it

This summer, get all level 1 done with him. so all groundwork perfect - feet, loading by himself, likes people. catching, perfect gentleman, etc (mostly all done already)

Riding this summer, a lovely walk, trot, canter, and hacking around late this summer around farm. A few small jumps too just for fun

This autumn I want to send him for hunting schooling to a friend of ours for a few weeks schooling in Scarteen country (biggest banks & ditches in Ireland!!) then only ride once every blue moon over winter, and show him hounds when they come through our place once or twice. Other than that he'll have most of winter off.

Next spring, start on level 2 work, continue hacking and little jumping, hopefully do a little showing for experience and a rosette or two

He should be quite a nice (if in-experienced) show horse then.

Maybe continue some hunting next year, and work toward level 3, and if we get through level 3, we'll be pretty flash and ready for anything....he'd be a lovely eveenter then with very strong cross country & dressage (and showjumping which he has already as he's irish!)

Here's the level 3 tasks, if anyone wants to know what we'll (eventually) be up to.......
