Hey! Would love to share this super sweet video of our wee Cocker Spaniel Lady, she's as cute as a button! This is her at 14 weeks. ( please ignore my daft voice!!)

She seems to be getting on great, a real happy confident wee soul. I've found she is one smart wee cookie though, so I am looking for some ideas to keep her brain engaged!

She will be 16 weeks this week and so far has mastered recall, sit, stay, paw, lie down and her toilet training. I've started some sniffer seek training but I'm running out of ideas! She seems to really thrive on learning new things, its all a big game!

I was wondering if there are any working commands, that a puppy noob like me may be able to teach? My ideas are limited to the above, "other paw" "roll over" which are kinda useless lol! I was thinking that real working commands may come in handy when we are out in the forest. We walk round a woods and she is off the lead unless there is another dog approaching, and will recall, sit and stay for us to put the lead back on etc, but I am wondering what to try next :)

I also don't want to blow her mind though, if its a detriment teaching too much too young.

Thanks for looking :)

I use a 'wait' command. Either wait by a gate while I go through first, wait on a pavement ready to cross the road or wait for food. Also 'leave / leave it', again for food, but in my case cats! Also when retrieving a ball or such like. I hide the odd favourite toy (can be as challenging as you like / think fit) and command 'searching'. my temporary in mate - the springer loved learning new things. Hide and seek were the best.
Your pup is gorgeous! Clever girl.

What a little cutie and clever too, I suggest some practical things as standing still and being examined, mine all stand when told, I rub them down after a walk and hold up each foot as I go along, they also turn around when told so I can do the other side and roll over so I can do their tummy. There is nothing worse than trying to rub down a dog which is wriggling and moving off, it also makes going to the vets that much easier for the vet as well. I also suggest some puppy training classes so she gets lots of socialisation.

Echo puppy classes, loads of fun and loads of puppies!

I ran out of things to teach mine so I got a book called 100 brain games for dogs,it's fab, really easy to follow with indoor and outdoor tricks which are really useful and/or adorable.

She's a sweetie, aww
