I have a 13 year old thoroughbred that is right now having no exercise and is on pasture board eating grass 24/7. He also gets feed twice a day. What would happen if I cut him down to once a day feed? And would it's be better to do it in the moring afternoon or night?

If his a good weight cut one or both out if need be I don't think it makes any difference when you feed it, my 2 get 1 feed a day at random times with no ill effect.

I usually feed mine once a day when he's on grass. It doesn't matter when, I just do it when it is most convenient for me, which happens to be in the evening/after riding. I usually have to cut his feed down when he's on grass. I just make sure he still gets his vit/min and MSM.
