Ignore the fact it's the Mail...

I ride my bike while my younger gsd runs alongside, he loves it because I can keep up. We did 8 miles on Saturday. I don't ride on the road, it's all tracks in the forest and the dog isn't on a lead; he runs next to me. While I wouldn't ride on the road as I don't think it's very safe round here, I wouldn't have thought what this guy was doing is illegal in itself, provided the dog was under control and not in the road. What do you think? Good idea, or shouldn't be allowed?

Bloody stupid and dangerous to be doing it on a road. Eejits like him ruin it for the rest of us who take part in a legitimate sport - on tracks that are safe for both our dogs and members of the public, with scrutineered equipment, marshalls, first aiders and insurance cover.
