D & H Build and glow question

I'm thinking of feeding this to my Barefoot TB. I already feed a big mug of Charnwood Linseed and 2 mugs of Copra meal per day. (Divided between 2 feeds) and yet when I took off his rug tonight both me and my Daughter thought he was looking more ribby than usual.

Tbh by the time the Copra meal has soaked his feed skip is beginning to look too full so I really want to give him something really conditioning but which can be fed in smallish amounts. He has as much hay as he wants so this isn't the issue.

Does anyone know if Build and Glow is suitable for a barefoot horse? I have looked on their website but they don't list ingredients or sugar/starch levels.
If it's not suitable are their any recommended alternatives?
Thank's in advance.

Its very high oil, I used it and it does have a rocket fuel effect but it did build weight very quickly. Its so high oil it doesn't swell up at all when in water and you only need a small amount. Basically its a prep food for TBs before sales. Don't know re ingredients, think it may have barley in as friend couldn't use on her intolerant horse. Gave mine a lovely coat, he put weight on within a week and he had a little/ a lot more energy!

Iv got a very fat barefoot tb and he's fed the following, fast fibre ( mug full) linseed ( mug full) and equimins advance complete. 2 very small meals a day and he's fat. I would highly recomend the equimins and it comes with a full money back warrenty if it don't work. I'm really please as the winter before I fed him loads and couldn't hide his ribs.

I keep switching between this and outshine for my super fussy feeder. Outshine is better and more calorific, but Build&Glow is good enough.
I'm not sure how it would be more or less suitable for a horse whether it wears shoes or not, though, but if it helps you, the horse I mentioned does not and never has worn shoes. :)

what about trying blue chip original? wouldnt add much bulk to the feed as its a balancer but Louie has done really well on it :)

I'm pretty sure Blue Chip is on the barefoot list of "too full of other nasties" and G already has a forage balancer. I think the Build and Glow will do the job but I'm just a little concerned that they don't advertise the starch levels as that's the main thing I want to limit in his diet.

You can feed up to 500g of linseed so i'd start by at least doubling the level you feed. That will be far more conditioning and cheaper!

Thank you for that Splash, I admit to almost having a seizure at the starch level till you mentioned it being a per bag amount!!!
I think I will give it a go but introduce it very gradually so as to keep a close eye on if it has any affect on his hooves.
