are they good?have heard good things about them, really need to put some weight on my boy, with something that will not fizz him up!any advice/info welcome
I have the same problem! was hoping someone had replied by now! Ive tried Baileys no.4 and they sent him loopy, and the spilers ones kept him at a level weight but didnt add anything. Hes been on the soaked oats diet for 6 months tho, worked a treat at putting the weight on and hes no loopier than normal..
I use them for an old horse who is a bad doer. Unfortunately he isnt ridden so cant say if they fizz him up! I dont use them on my younger horse as anything fizzes her up. Somewhere in the depths of my memory I think they have fizzed a horse up!!!!!
I have had 2 of my rescues on them. I havnt noticed any extra fizz with Monty, but tonight after 3 months on them and the recent introduction of black sunflower seeds, I have had to take him off them and on to maintenance cubes as he is starting to look like a stallion (fat 'n cresty)
One of the girls on the yard has her horse on A&P Calm & Condition, but he has always been fat.
What else are you feeding him? Are you giving him any sugar beet? Do sugars tend to make him fizzy?
I feed them to my mare and havent noticed her any fizzier, but she does only get 1/4 scoop twice a day. I also fed the build up mix to my sec c last season and didnt notice any more fizz either and she was getting a whole scoop twice a day.
I have been told that A+P Calm and Condition is actually quite heating, but i don't use it so i cant be sure, would be interesting to hear what other people think?
he gets speedi beet, topspec cond flakes(which i think are heating him up)sunflower seeds and dengie hifi-his weight i thought was getting better but have now realised it is still not great and i really need something to put condition on him.
Didn't work on my boy, and they contain alot of cearels if you are worried about fizz...... IMO would have thought they would be more fizz enducing than baileys no4.
This was great for big lad (show mix)
