D&H equine sensitive

When I bought my horse a year ago he was on an all-in-one feed (ie. chaff & hard all mixed together) and it had loads of molasses in it. He was very strong and excitable and I thought maybe it was the sugar in the feed whizzing him up (since discovered this wasn't the case). Anyway, I tried hard to find a hard feed without molasses in it and decided in the end to try Equine Sensitive. To start with he really wasn't keen on it as I'd taken out the yummy part of his feeds, he obviously has a sweet tooth! As the feed is quite large round bits (like hard dog food) he just used to turf them out of the bowl and they'd go rolling out under his door and all over the yard! He never really thought they were the yummiest, but started to eat it better once he realised that was what was on the menu. But I found that I got through it quite quickly, and in the end he didn't need to be on it as the molasses wasn't the problem. I guess if your horse has allergies, which is more what the product is designed for, then it may well be suitable, but it wasn't for my boy.

Hope that helps, you probably didn't need my life story with it, sorry!

I have been feeding this now since last Friday and she seems to love it - its a cube rather than a mix and smells of lovely mint and herbs. Its expensive - £11.35 for a 20kg sack but seem to be perking her up and it soaks nicely
