D1 had a good test of her riding skills today :D

Grey Mare is very, very sensitive to the rider. When she gets a bit whappy, unless the rider relaxes completely, she's off and bouncing; whereas with Dizz, you have to be ready to have a discussion with both seat and hands.

So, D1 rode GM first and got some nice chilled work, with GM coming under her body and over-tracking by a good hoof length :D. Dizz was totally chilled, which I'm so chuffed about as she's not been ridden for weeks :D. D1 did a good job at changing her style completely to get Dizz listening and coming along nicely between hand and seat and no head bobbing for a good number of strides, which with the Dizz is really, really good :D.

Didn't do a lot as both are very unfit and a tad fat :o, but was very pleased with how they went :D

Yup, I watched my daughter ride one of ours today.. and doesn't it make you feel good to see them so attuned to their horses.

Well done D1, and MrsM for teaching her to be that way.

Ta hun :D. It does give a glow doesn't it - to see them so happy :D

I can't take any credit though (much as I would like to lol). Had some good instructors along the way :D. I just hop in and out and yell things every now and then :D
