We have a fairly elderly leyland daf 7.5 tonnes lorry and the tilt alarm is going off and driving me nuts! I have wiggled the lever, but to no avail, has anybody any idea what I can do to shut it up without having to go to the garage. It started doing it about 20 miles after it cam back from having a new clutch, which may or may not be relelvant :D

Sorry, I'd be ringing the garage that did the clutch and telling them they needed to sort out their mistake!

The big question is whether the cab is actualy fully locked down with both catches .These locks are cable operated from a square "nut" inside the passenger door just below the seat. If you are playing about with a lever it is the secondary stop which is only there to catch the cab if it becomes unlocked. It has no effect on the warning light. In all probability the problem will be the switches on both main locks have corroded and fallen apart because they were disturbed . This would not be the garages fault. Get the garage to check the cab is properly locked down but dont assume that the warning light problem is their mistake.
