My four year old will only poo in his field or stable. He never ever poos on a hack or in the school. Once he did one in the wagon.

Just got me wondering really. (I know it's a good thing for me, don't have to go back and poo pick the school) Is this a good or bad thing? Could it mean he is nervous in the school or on a hack? My be it means he is a private boy? Or just too busy being busy?

Any ideas? Or anyone else have a similar horse?

In would have thought the opposite, pooing on a hack or in the lorry is a sign of nervousness or excitement.....is your horse very laid back ?

My mare never poos when ridden and she is 18 now although she does from time to time go when ridden by one particular rider so in 14 years she has only pood three times while tacked up and that is with the same rider each time

I think horses are often just creatures of habit when it comes to toilet matters... I have had ponies who will NEVER wee when being ridden, one who ALWAYS wee'd in the horsebox on the outward journey (never on the way home, perhaps it was nerves) and my current one ALWAYS poos in the same spot on the walk into the yard from his field and almost always wees at the same spot on the return walk to the field... weird.
