I prepare my boys dinner and breakfast at the same time - I was wondering if it OK to mix the soaked spedibeet into both feeds at the same time, or do I need to add the spedibeet just before I feed.

Thanks xx

In mid winter you will get away with it.

As soon as it warms up, I always make the beet twice a day, and only mix in just before feeding.

I still prefer to do this even in winter, it is fresher.

In summer, beet can go rancid quite quickly.
Thanks - that's what I thought xx

I soak mine at night, and add just before feeding. Obviously quite cool in winter time, so I cover it overnight.
Don't feed it if frosted. I usually add some hot water to warm it up, which is just as much for my benefit as the horse.

It has always worked for me in the summer time too, as nights are usually cool. If it smells a bit off - fermented - then I would make fresh in the morning.
