How do you put those ear fly things on? You know the ones, just ears, no face in them.

I bought one for Ellie on Wednesday as she is now wearing her rugs at night but the flies are still abundant at dawn and dusk. She hates having a full face on as she hasn't got the best eyesight, and it is only her ears that get bothered.

I put the ear thingy on. The string went under her neck and doubled back. I tied it off. She shook her head and the bloody thing came off.

How do you tie them?

i've tied them as you have said
is it one to wear with a bridle? if it is that's why it fell off - the bridle helps keep it in place

lol I got one yesterday for my lad. I just put it on over his ears so it fitted them properly pulled it all straight then there was a string thing dangling down on the right, so I brought it under like a throat lash and just tied it on to loop on left with a quick release knot

worked fine for me but then again he has stopped tossing his head now the flies can't get in his ears!

Lol, I did wonder if it had to be used with a bridle, but couldn't see how it would fasten onto a bridle either! Ho Hum, back to the drawing board

Lol, goes on the ears, then bridle goes on top, then long string thing goes round and round and round and round and round the throat lash.
