Daily hoof care regime!

What is your daily hoof care regime with your horses?

Pick out twice a day, cornucrescine on the coronet band and hoof grease inside & out.

Winter - picked out daily, once a week given a spray to keep them fresh

Summer - picked out daily and Kevin Bacon applied

There are the occasional day they are not picked out, ie I am not up and YO is doing them but they don't have shoes on, don't get thrush so it is not the end of the world.

I pick out if I ride, I might rasp off any rough edges then too, I pick out when I get back. I check for any thrush or problems and act as necessary.

Pick out.

No dressings, oils, creams or anything else. Just good old snow, puddles, dew, mud or pond water, whichever the horses choose to walk through.

Horses are all unshod.

Shod every 6weeks, picked out daily and a hoof moist added every other day in the summer, same in winter but only use a hoof moist maybe once-twice a week

Mine are picked out daily, Slainey has Kevin Bacon Hoof Dressing daily(tb shod all round), charlie has the same but only use hoof dressing 3-4 times a week (barefoot).

pick out and feed appropriately.. nutritional support of the hoof is far more effective than dressings.

Absolutely nothing. Horse is shod normally, fed a balancer (nothing else) and lives out. Never have any problems whatsoever.

Generally nothing but with him being on box rest he has lard put on them everyday. Does the same job as kevin bacon but for 34p!

Same as above except Naf Pro feet applied twice a week and if thrush is starting I'll spray with diluted detol to stop it before it comes.

Same here for my shoe free horses.
My shod horses almost the same (minus the rasping!)

Fed appropriately with feet in mind!
