My black ex racehorse has a very daisycutting action in front - when he raced, he definitely preferred firm going as a result of his action. Although he has a nice active hind leg, he doesn't really match it in front and his trot could be improved but I'm not sure how to do it. I've tried opening up his trot up the hill at home but although he steps through, he doesn't particularly stretch out in front. His jumping technique is fine so he can move through the shoulder well enough - just not sure how to get him to relax and improve his action in front?
Any advice as to what I can do to assist?!
