...if anyone can tell me where it is that'd be great, supposedly there's an 'x' on the x-ray by the damaged joint, I believe it's supposed to be an avulsion but all beyond me 🤔😂 Guess I'll be bothering the vet again 🙈😂

I had to google what an avulsion was! I can't see any X personally, but the toe that is second-from-left doesn't look normal to me as a lay person?

There's a possible fracture on the top of the second toe. decent amount of tissue swelling there as well.
You'd need more views to confirm how displaced etc but that's very suspicious looking...what did she do?

As far as I'm aware this is the only x-ray. Damage is to the index toe - is that the one you mean? No idea what she did, probably hooning about 🙄 she is sound on it now and has been for 10 days but is on v light exercise (vet prescribed for next 3-4 months)

Yep. If she's already recovering well you won't need more views. I'd keep the exercise restriction and be strict about it. The less it gets to move while healing the better the fix..and the less of arthritis in later life. Toes are a pain because the dog tends to feel better way before they heal properly so it's harder to keep them quiet!

Yup, she's an absolute pain because until she twists it in just the wrong way it causes no issues, then she does something ridiculous and we're back at square one 🙈 In reality I think we'll do another week of just walk (so up to 15 minutes x 2 per day) and then look at shorter length, canicross (all flat and on her own, but trotting rather than walking to try and reduce the bounding around in the house)
