Ive just been up to feed young horses out in field and had to chase buckets around for ages the youngsters thought this was great fun. I realy hope noboby was watching

we have had 70mph winds yesterday with super heavy rain!

java had no rug on as was previously very warm and his rug is away getting repaired,

so i had to rush up and put all 3 away

when he saw me coming he ran to the stable to say he wanted put away!
trying to lead in was a nightmare!

he barged straight into the stable

he was shivering so gave him loads of hay and he settled

there were lots of branches down in the field too and some very large trees down on the road to the field

My poor boy tried having a wee, the results weren't great bless him. :(

New meaning to It's like pi****g in the wind. ;)

Mine's had some spring grass (we had a bit of rain which made the grass spurt); Himself was out in the field and the blimmin wind was blowing a hooley, when the poor lad decided to poo. Bless him, young grass like this always makes him a bit loose (and smelly by god) - and it was a bit like a four-legged muckspreader going full tilt. It was Horizontal!!! Luckily I was far enough away not to get caught up in the backlash; but washing his rear end later I needed a gassmask! Poor lad.

I'm going camping this weekend:eek:

If I'm not seen again you'll know I've been blown halfway to Denmark, still in my tent;)

I did really well ! When the worst of the wind were a blowing i wer stood under cover wiv a cup of coffee watching and laffing at the kids trying to lead the horses up the field !:o
talk about 1 foot forward 6 foot back !! lol :)

we had this on the weekend but though it would be fine so leapt abroard to school turns out my horse likes to leap through the air he really let me know how unimpressed he was with his new mummy about 5 mins in when the heavens opened...

so he's a bit of a fair weather boy then! ;)
