Hi all,

I had an extremly stressfull journey to return my loan horse last week where he managed to rear up and try to climb over the partition in the my friends horse box. As he did this he smashed one of the air windows.

Question is - who would you say is responsible for the bill?? I've said to my friend to bill me as I feel awful. Horse was being returned as my decision so I sorted transport. What do you think??

thanks!

I damaged a borrowed trailer, I paid to have it fixed.
There is no way I'd have expected the trailer owner to bear the cost of my horse's actions.

Until the horse is handed back into the owners care, any cost incurred is down to you.
If the owner had of picked the horse up, your liability would have ended there, but as you returned the horse, the responsibility lies solely with you.

Cost is down to you. Shouldn't be too much.

This is what I thought : o (
Like you said, hoping it's not much and just grateful the horse didn't hurt itself!
Thanks
