Im at my wits end as to how to protect my horses hock in stable. He is on deep shavings bed but has badly scraped his offside hock. I think he must be scraping it on the wall.
Anyway,
Plan A neoprene hock boot - slips down, and velcro stitching came apart
Plan B neoprene hock boot with travel boot below to stop slipping, horse removed travel boot with teeth! hock boot slipped
Plan C long travel boot, horse removed boot
Plan D hock boot with tubigrip on top, guaranteed to work.. slipped
Plan E, gamgee with vetwrap., slipped.
Plan F now - no Plan F

Any ideas apart from padding the whole stable wall all 16 x 16 of it,?

You can get rubber type matting to go on the lower walls of your stable

might be a better option - expensive but at least you've not got to faff about with boots every time he's in
