Damian Hallam Clinic plus photo and vid

Hi all

Saf is still in dressage pony mode since last week at the Inter Regions, our team came 8th

so when the chance came up for a lesson with Damian I said YES PLEASE

When I arrived he was sitting having a break having started teaching 8am and it was now 4pm so he saw me warm up

Have to say he is the nicest person I have met in a long while and immediately made me feel at ease
Having a chat

Said I wanted to work on suppleness as it is always underlined on my sheets

He had me working on leg yeild and shoulder in

Then we worked on serpentines, I tend to work in a "safe" trot and never really go for it so he had me riding out of my comfort zone, a proper working trot

Well have to say we worked on loads kept Saf thinking and I loved every min of the lesson, just hope I can have another some day, he is a fantastic patient teacher and ever so calm

Glad to hear you had such a great lesson!

I think Damian is a great rider & teacher and would recommend him to anyone.

Make sure you keep having lessons with him and I'm sure the suppleness will improve. A sports massage may also help!!

Hmmf. Am very jealous! Damien Hallam was supposed to do some clinics at our yard earlier in the year and they got cancelled due to lack of interest!

Am also very jealous of your lovely position - I wish I could sit that still!

Thank you, it was at Merrist Wood and was on the board there, believe it was his last clinic and will now teach from his yard only

Hes now with my old trainer Douglas, hes such a lovely guy too.
