Damn Flies!!!

Are the flies getting worse or is it just me. Our horses wont leave the gate way for long and are being tortured by black nusience flies. They look like blue bottles. I dont remember it being so bad last year. We cant put fly masks on because one horse gets great pleasure in removing them and grabbing them so its not worth risking an injury. Looks like we are back to night time turnout.
Went for a hack tonight as it was lovely and breezy, nipped into the woods and was swarmed on the way out, poor boy didnt know what to do. Had to canter off sharpish to lose them.
Think I prefer the rain!

hello.I think you are right in there being more fly's.Maybe because it's so humid!!.I make up my own flyspray and it works a treat.If you the recipe pm me!!.
