Dandruff/ dry skin

Can anyone recommend something for flakey/dandruff skin,


My 21 year old gelding seems to be getting a lot of dandruff in his mane? He skin inst overly dry and he has such a lovely coat, so it is just in his mane. I was thinking of trying an oil based supplement but I have been told that this can make horses fizzy and give them lots of extra energy! He's a TB so he doesn't need any more energy!

Soya oil made a huge difference to my ones skin, it was a transformation, that and washing with hibi scrub
 
Linseed is great for skin health and hooves,I fed it to TBs for many years and to the ponies we have now ,it has never made them fizzy .

Johnsons baby bath with oil {white bottle blue top}is really good for dry skin and leaves the hair very silky.
