Danilon for lactating mares?

Does anyone know if this is safe?? A bit of a loaded question because data sheet says 'it has not been tested'. A friend is giving it to her shetland mare with foal at foot.

If there are vets on this forum can you explain?

I think that 'not tested' means no clinical trial so far.

My understanding is that some of it will pass through to the foal in the milk, hence why it's generally not recommended, certainly not without vet direction.
