just wondering if anyone has been, and what the lowest fence heights are? Have a wimpy horse and anything over 2ft3 xc fences he wont jump

They are quite small. I wouldn't go there again though as I thought that the condition of the jumps was poor and there was a nylon wire stretched across the run in to 1 jump.

The one at Cranwell is nice, but can it be hired? There are lots of "trappy" fences there... Danethorpe has some litle fences there aswell as a large variety of skinnies, trakehners etc

Not keen on their water though. Where you going from? Great Ponton near Grantham is a lovely course well maintained and lovely owners.

Cranwell don't hire theirs out anymore unfortunately. I agree that Great Ponton is lovely but a bit of a long old trek the whole way round. Newton would be better if you want it all within a smaller area; they have a variety of fences and the ground seems to hold up well whatever the weather.
