Ok so two qestions but it saves clogging up the forum.
Are dapples a sign of good condition on a darker coloured horse or are they just part of the horse's colour? I've been told that they are natural and some say that they are related to good condition.
Also my cobby mare has just had her second injection of three for mites and it seems to be having an effect, she's itching a lot less. My question is, is the effect of the injection permaent or will the mites come back?

Thanks!

I don't think anything is permanent. I know I have had my cob injected twice over the past three years.

As far as dapples go, I think they either have them in the colour of their coat and its nothing to do with shine/condition.

No the mite injection is not permanent

You have to have it done whenever they are showing symptoms. IMHO I much prefer using ivomectin wash - available from your vet. As much less risky, my boy has had several sets of injections at crazy expense. The wash is much more effective and cheaper!!!!
