...but all my horses seem to be behaving rather well at the moment

Have started work on Kia, and she is proving to be one of the most sensible intelligent horses I have worked with in a long time. She lunged quietly today in walk with a saddle and nice loose side riens on, and was absolutly perfect. She naturally puts herself in a nice outline and has a lovely walk. Just cant get over how bright she is, picks everything up so quickly!

Then on to the Jerry monster... now this is the really suprising bit

Friend came over yesterday to meet the new one and I had just finished working J, I had given her a lesson on sunday and we had both decided her saddle wasnt doing her jumping position any favours, so when she arrived at mine I suggested she sit in my Ideal Impala to see how it felt. She looked horrified due to the fact it was still on top of Jerry

(Shows how bad his reputation really is

) I said just get on and I'll hold him, so she did (looking a bit pale) she instantly fell in love with the saddle and I said well you might as well have a walk round, so she did. He was very tired to be fair, but she got him working and had a little walk and trot. She got off before he did anything stupid

She did say he felt very explosive but beautifully behaved

It is the first time anyone else other than my trainer (oh and my sister when he broke my leg, but she doesnt count as was a disaster!) has actually sat on him, and he was a perfect angel. So maybe it is time he got rid of his terrible rep

(Which might mean a new nickname as 'The Jerry monster' doesnt really help matters

)

And of course Spooks is perfect as usual

Sorry random post, but makes a change for all mine to be nice to me!

You know it won't last don't you!! They lull you into a false sense of security and then POW just when you are least expecting it.

Well you've gone and done it now then ........!! We often groan at the very moment in a sports commentary when they just say how well it's all going ... you just know what comes next!!!
No, seriously, its all down to hard work isn't it ? Well done.. enjoy your lovely day...

You'll be fine..... as I said... all down to hard work. We are a golfing family too and there is a very famour quote from one of the worlds best ever players, Gary Player.
He said "The more I practise, the luckier I get"...
Wise words.....
Good Luck at SH...x
