I would really like to be able to find out where my two dartmoor hill colts came from, I would like to know what farmer's herd they came from and what size and colouring the herd is that they come from. Is there any way for me to do this???
Both colts were born in may 2009 and I'm not sure whether they both came from the same herd.

I'm quite lucky - I knew the farm my Hill Pony came from as it was the farmer who dropped him off at my Godmother's after he didn't sell at the sales! i then inherited him last year.

His name is Mill Leat 5 - Mill Leat was the farm, number 5 is just the number assigned to him!

Do they have 'proper' names in their passports?

How old are they? How long have you had them? (This is me being nosy not gonna help me much with where they came from!!)

Where / who did you buy them from? this may give you a clue.

I emailed Charlotte at the Dartmoor Hill Pony Society about mine (just for a bit of info about them) and she was really helpful.

They were yearlings when we got them, 18mths old now so had them around 6mths. They've got brilliant characters and really lovely natures, I'd just love to know maybe what his dam and sire looked like, and what sizes they are as an indicator of what he might make, just me being very curious!
