Date for Westfphalian Mare Grading & Foal branding in the UK

Hi all I have just heard from Sylvia, that the Westfphalian Verband is coming to the UK and holding a national grading this year as per the details below if any one is interested.

Hello,

now we have the date when we will come to England for registering foals and breeding mares.

It is Monday, the 31. August 2009. I think we will start in the late morning, perhaps 10 or 11. We will give you the exact time later.

The place for the registering is: The College EC


Please bring the passport and paper of your mare and for the foal a "Fohlenmeldung" or "Deckschein". If you do not have this, a paper of the covering of your mare with all dates of the mare and the stallion and the date of the covering and the dates of the breeder and owner of the mare.

Please tell this every breeder who is interested in breeding westfphalians. Thank you!

Could I also suggest that anyone attending this has their foal microchipped befrehand as well as otherwise this might cause difficulties (unless the Westf are planning to microchip then as well of course).

The verband staff wil probably have been on a training course to alow them to microchip. The law has still not been passed for England yet

I have a Westfalian broodmare who I was going to grade with the Hannovarian Society and has just had a foal to a British Hannovarian stallion.
If I grade her with the Hanny society her foal is eligible to full Hanny papers and a branding.

Now I hear that the Westfalian Society are coming to the UK. Should I stick with grading her with the Hanny Society or now grade her with the Westfalian society?

Its all very confusing to me whats best to do.
