Day off so had to Ride & Lead!! Warning ** Self Indulgent ** With Vid

I have been fortunate to have today and last Friday off and as this morning was so so glorious, I just had to take my two boys out and as I did not have a 2nd jockey I had to ride and lead and they were so good …… I did the same on Friday …… I have not done this for nearly 3 years, since my old boy was so poorly I had never dared ride and lead since, in case he got hurt

I did this for the first time yesterday too - mine were good as gold as well, I was really surprised! Although v impressed that you managed to ride, lead and video all at once!

I knew no one was around and it was on a very safe stretch of the Downs Link near me .... I only ventured out for an hour and it was so good to get them both out again and the added bonus is that they were so good! I got jealous years ago when I saw the Polo Grooms riding and leading 2 plus .... in canter!!!!

Oh forgot to say .... sorry about the quality of the vid but it was only my old 1.3mg mobile

Fantastic. Love riding and leading with 2 horses that get on and know what's going on. I used to ride and lead my two along the beach (in canter too!), then swap over half way round and ride the other back. Was great. Your guys look super.

.... never tried to swap ..... the one I am riding is the one I never ride myself unless I lead, I don't think it would work the other way around ....

I didn't realise all those damn gates had gone! Do you remember when they used to turn horses out on the link there? That would be fun, trying to do all those gates, with 2 horses and a loose one to contend with too!

I jumped the last one on Rocky once, the wooden 5 bar under the bridge, I fell off and ended up laying in a puddle with him staring down at me!

Farm yard polo, have all the gubbins at home, we are a stud farm and breed the little buggers! so have to get them used to it all before they are sold. But than we have the old faithful old timers who we use to train up the babies with. So if you fancy a trip up my neck of the woods you are more than welcome to stay over and have a giggle.
