I moved my mare yesterday, well my fears of her destorying the place were very short lived, loaded her about 9 walked on with a little encouragement from behind, she fell asleep on the way there lol
) .got there about 10 (we were later leaving than we expected) and she went straight out in the field on her own she wandered over and greeted the neighbours and flirted with all the boy.
all good, left her for a while so i could go and get my mats, came back about 2 hours later was still very happy grazing away (she has been known to fence walk when left on her own) set her bed up. changed her from shavings to hemp, with only a few pence differences i though it was worth the plunge.
got her in about 5 she met her next door neighbour who she very much loves. they have a window between then and aparently they spent half the night with there heads thought the window lol. and she hasn't cribbed at all so far (touch wood)
got down late this morning she was fine had her breakfast and went out for an hour. mucked and it took me 10mins and was soooooooooo easy, and her bed did look like she hadn't been mucked out for a month. so far so good. i got on her for the first time today, she was very good although she did rear a couple of time but i think thats her say "wtf are you talking about" as she is very green. and after a quick schooling session we wandered down the road to cool off and she was a star.
she seems alot more chilled and seems to be enjoying herself.
all in all a very happy owner
