Well..... I didnt tell them that it was going to be the rainy season ..... mwahahahahah
We spent the day racing round the local lanes..... trying to convince MQ and PBS that there was enough room for two cars to pass at 80 mph..... and that my brakes now work
We went to the opening meet of the local stag hounds and stood on the side of the valley..... peering through the torrential rain at the horses and the hounds ...... they seemed to enjoy that
Then we drove to Barnstable and went fish shopping for the new tank I have...... sadly they seemed to enjoy that too, as both have kept fish before....... bugger
Then the icing on the cake for me was making them go out in the sheeting rain......PBS was sporting a rather fetching pink flourescent rain sheet, which the neighbours nearly crashed their car because of..... I think they were laughing too much to see
And then because they seemed to be coping a bit too well, I decided to take them up the Somerset version of Dunns River Falls in Jamaica.......
Merlin took exception to being slightly more than 6 inches behind my horse and decided to attract attention by flinging himself down a steep incline and nearly into the river..... Oh god how I laughed
I nearly lost one of them
.... But no such luck, he regained his footing just intime.... Much to Sparkles disgust
Now they are sat in my house again, eating the chocolates and drinking the wine that they pretended to bring for my birthday
Will they never bloody leave
