My horse had neurectomy done for proximal suspensory desmitis and a few months post surgery is still as lame as before the surgery. Help? Anyone else have a similar experience?

What does your vet say about this? Were you given a rehab programme?

Yes he says to start walking out in hand starting 20mins and increasing by 5 mins per week, and turn out.

I'd get a 2nd opinion. Perhaps there is a different un identified issue causing the lameness.

He wants you to turn him out, yet you are only to increase in hand walking by five minutes a week? I second Andalucian, I'd want another opinion.
