does anyone have the plain De Niro's?!

What do you think of them!?

I'm looking at replacing my brogini's with my bday money, they have served me VERY well and have many years left in them for home boots, but are starting to get a little tatty for shows with the elastic laces getting pulled and breaking, also they have gained a few scratches and are a little small in the height to look smart enough now to show in

I have looked at getting another pair but they dont seem to do them very high in the leg which is what I need (along with having very slim calves) I have a quick look at De Niro's and they do them in an 'extra extra height' which is the perfect height for me!!!

just wondering what they are like/worth the money, as it's alot of money to spend on some boots!!!

and also size wise, my brogini's are a 6.5 and fit like a glove, they have them available in 6.5 also, are they very similar size wise?!

xxxx

I love my Di Niros, iv got the caprice ones, they are just normal sizing i would say, but i also had to get the extra long!

I recently got a fab bargain on ebay and picked up a pair with the patent detail. I had to take a bit of a gamble on the size as have never tried a pair on but luckily they fit perfectly.

I also have skinny long legs so these were the xs calf and extra long (so one below the height you're considering) If I was being hyper-critical I could have possibly had the extra extra long but just about get away with it! I do however find they come up a bit bigger on foot size. I am normally a 6.5 in long boots but these are a size 6 and fit perfectly. You could wear thick socks but then have to bear in mind that if you do that you may not be able to get the zips up as they are such a snug fit.

Do you not have anywhere near that stocks them? Or are you going to any shows as I know that Joshua Jones stocks them and they are normally at a lot of events.

Good luck, they really are lovely boots! :)

i, like you, had a lovely pair of broginis. They lasted forever! had them repaired and repaired. Then they died and i got a pair of deniro (plain black with subtlesnake skin effect detail). they are the best boots ever. Really comfy and easy to keep clean. Really are the best boots!definately recommend them.

I have the brown caprice with croc skin and adore them, didnt need to be broken in at all but I also went down a half size in the foot

Oh how I LOVE my De Niros! As stated by others absolutely no breaking in required, lovely neat fit and not as stupidly £££ as some other brands (although in saying that I got mine when they were just starting to get popular, price might have gone up a bit now!). I struggle with ankle to knee length but I'm sure mine were just the long rather than the x long and they're perfect. Unfortunately horses don't care that you've just spent a good chunk of your wages on boots - first time I wore them I got slatted into the first fence and hit it so hard I lifted paint from the pole onto my precious boots - don't you just love horses...

Thanks guys for all the great relpies!!!

I still can't decided whether to spend ALL my bday money on a £350 pair of boots HAHA

the parents think Im mad!!! but the boots are SO beautiful

Go for it, you won't regret it!! they are such nice boots and if you look after them they will last for years!

I had the Ariat Bromonts before which were cheaper but I hated them, am now going to sell them to justify the De Niros! :)
